The 2011 Realex Payments Web Awards take place on Saturday October 22nd in the Mansion House in Dublin. Back once again are Realex Payments as headliner sponsor, back once again is Rick O’Shea to MC the event and this is a song with back once again overused in it.
The Web Awards categories for 2011 are here. If you want to sponsor a category, look at this page first. Nominations will be open the week of August 29th 2011. Social media categories are now part of the Social Media Awards.

Congrats to all those who reached the 2010 Finalist list. The awards ceremony takes place on October 16th 2010 in the Mansion House, tickets are €30 and are on sale online only. Tickets will not be sold on the door on the night.
To note:
There is no dress code for the Web Awards. Layout is theatre style, doors open at 7pm, the event kicks off at 8.15pm and after the ceremony there’ll be finger food after. Bar is open until 1am and we’ll have a DJ to keep the dancebunnies entertained.

The super-giant-huge-bitTooManySitesReally Web Awards nominations list is now out.
This is a list of all websites, apps and campaigns nominated for the Web Awards. We removed spam, bad nominations and websites that didn’t suit the category they were nominated in. This year we had about 700 unique websites nominated by over 600 people and a few 1000 sites in total nominated. Lots of mobile apps nominated too.
What next?
Judging will begin very soon. Every website gets judged, from these lists we create short lists and then finally after another judging round we create finalist lists. A big process where all sites get a fair go at being judged. We still need a few judges if you want to put your name in the hat.
